concept drawings

Marc, you missed my turn. I was waiting for you.
So I need web crictic.
Anyway
I missed an important thing during the last 2 weeks.
In my case, structural systems are very important, because I want to make structure to stimulate people imagination. I call it ”association”
Think about “Swiss cheese”. You, guys , know what I mean.
I am trying to find a proper origin for structural system. It should have relationship between the origin and its structure. So I’ll try to make structure based on fabric shape. The beginning is the Gates in central park. I think I should find any possibilities for architectural structure. The fabric shape can be walls, floors, roofs etc. my purpose is that this structure should make people find relationships between the origin and the structure. I need more study about this gesture. Also I need advices or opinions to make reasonable process and study. Anyone will be good.
Here are some images

Thank you in advance.

i think that could make a good ceiling...
otherwise i think you are studying it in the wrong direction...
we can talk about flipping a tensile structure into compression...however i am still trying to understand where you need this 'structure?'

would you mind forgetting the my 2 week exercise.
i needed time to create proper structures, however because of several problems , i paid my attention to finish one project. So I used my favorite architectural langaue to finish it during 2 week. So the exercise is so similar to my old project.
To realize my intension i have thought about molecular structure of water, tree structure, etc. Then I choose this idea for structural system.
i want to use totally different language based on the same concept( different people and water) and this idea. this structure will be used for the whole project. this will not be made out of fabric because I don’t want make tensile structure. this will be made out of solid and hard materials for walls, roofs, floors, etc. can you image what I am talking about?.
look at the section. it will be helpful.

look at what section?
i dont want to forget your two week exercise...
i think some of the research you are talking about should have been done last semester...
i think you should move ahead.

why are you looking at the christo project instead of olmstead...
why arent you talking about the structure of the building you are to be analyzing...the stucture of the park...

I agree. The park is completely designed. You are not really building a project on an empty site. You are intervening in existing (landscape) architecture. A successful renovation needs to critique the existing condition.

let's think about structure of the park of olmstead. i think the value of the central park is not a part. i belive the value is the combination of each part. i can try to find the structure of the whole park. then i can use the structure of park for my project. i am wondring that the structure of my building can make people think the structure of park? i don't think so because common people don't know the structure of park. i intend that people can find the relationship between my structure and the origin. when people see my structure, some can image the gates, and other can image different things. this is blurry synesthesia that i said at the last semester.

Actually, I thought about natural things like tree, water, etc. these also are elements of central park. however, i tried to find something from common people memory to stimulate their imagination.

everyone doesn't know christo, but everyone know this project. everyone know olmstead, but most of them don't know the structure of park.

this is my thought about this idea

i believe there are two different opinions about using given conditions . one is adaptation to given conditions. the other is creating new order at given site conditions. i belive there is no exact answer, but proper solutionss exist
