I feel that ruin is an impetus for creation. I am not calling ruin specifically a strategy for construction but I feel that it is, and should be, a significant condition for creation. In my project I am attempting to apply a context where somewhere within the structure and function within citizens of our society there is a type of ruin which will compel, either conscious or unconscious, a need for creation and reinvention. I am thinking that hypothesizing a need will help me to choose a site that would provide the conditions for a possible solution.
