A Note on Site

My thesis overall is trying to solve two problems- that of the program at hand (the orphanage/displacement center with synaesthesia) as well as that of formal issues and questions that I pose upon myself and how synaesthesia comes into play then. See comment for my site rebuttal.

I understand and sympathize with concerns about having my site in Kuwait and I fully understand the reasoning behind the arguments. However I do not see this as a problem at all. I know and understand and have lived the culture - and as has been mentioned I 'am' the site. I will be there this winter for an entire month and will study the technicalities of my chosen ground in detail.
If anything I see this as a challenge for myself in a positive sense. The insertion of a project of this nature is a problem that I am willing and excited to solve. It is also relevant in this area. On the contrary to place the site here in the States seems to me to be forcing the situation a bit as though forcing an alien object and willing it to fit into a context that does not even begin to answer questions I have.
I could place my site here in New York. I think that that would only hinder my ambitions rather than make it easier for the sake of site visits (which I will be making intensely this winter anyway). I am trying to answer larger questions on the whole.
Please reply to this post- I am not stubborn in this matter it's just I believe in my reasoning but I am of course open to your opinions/guidance.

You have argued well and it is true that the program would fit better in the Middle east. When there in the winter break document fully (film, maps, sections, photos etc)

so..OK by me
